What is Hypnosis anyway?

Everyone has an innate ability to go into trance, and all of us do this quite spontaneously several times a day. A good example is when driving home and you find yourself at your destination without having consciously thought about it.

During these times the busy conscious mind is distracted, allowing access to the inner mind and to powerful inner resources. Hypnosis is simply a way of inducing and making use of this otherwise naturally-occurring state.

It is particularly useful where it seems as if one part of the mind is in opposition to another, such as in phobias, panic attacks, etc, and in particular, smoking.

How safe is Hypnosis?

Not to be confused with stage Hypnosis, Clinical Hypnosis (as used in HypnosisPLUS) is absolutely safe, respectful and confidential. It has no supernatural connotations.

Can I be hypnotised?

Everyone is capable of achieving the light to medium depth of trance necessary for most Hypnotherapy. Successful therapy does not rely on the deep 'somnambulistic' trance that people usually think of as Hypnosis.
